After-Work Road Bike Ride and Refreshments
Tuesday evening road ride from Littleton along the South Platte toward Chatfield. 25-30 miles at 15-18 mph, ending with post-ride beers at Platte River Bar and Grill.
The vibe
Beat the clock, earn the beer
A Tuesday at 5:30 PM in Littleton: the workday is done, the trail is waiting, and the bar is open. This weekly ride follows an all-paved route along the South Platte River trail toward the southern reaches of Chatfield State Park, covering 25–30 miles at a 15–18 mph clip. Flexible mileage means the group can adjust based on how much daylight (and motivation) remains.
The Colorado Intermediate Road Cycling and Mountain Biking Meetup group runs this as an approachable after-work ride — not a race, but not a stroll either. Regrouping happens naturally, and the vibe stays social throughout. Post-ride beers and food at Platte River Bar and Grill give everyone a reason to stick around after the miles are done.
Any road or gravel bike works here. Just bring lights for the tail end of the season when sunset starts creeping earlier.
