Austin Ridge Riders Monthly Destination Rides
Austin Ridge Riders' monthly MTB outings venture beyond the city — Spider Mountain, Pedernales Falls, Reveille Peak, Muleshoe Bend, and other Texas trail gems.
The vibe
Beyond city limits, full day out
Once a month, ARR loads up and heads somewhere worth the drive. The 2026 calendar reads like an Austin-area trail bucket list: Lake Bryan, Spider Mountain, Forrest Creek, Pedernales Falls, Muleshoe Bend, Reveille Peak Ranch. These are full-day affairs starting at 9 AM — not warm-up laps, but proper days out at trails that reward the effort to get there.
RSVP is non-negotiable. The club coordinates food for these rides, so showing up unannounced doesn’t work here. Get on the mailing list, confirm your spot, and you’ll receive logistics details including carpool coordination for the farther destinations. Some venues like Spider Mountain have their own entry fees separate from the organized ride.
The monthly rides attract a cross-section of the full membership — regulars who’ve lapped Reveille Peak a dozen times alongside folks who’ve had Pedernales Falls on their list for years. Expect post-ride food, good company, and the kind of trail variety that reminds you just how much riding exists within two hours of Austin.
