Breakfast Club ATX Babes Ride
Weekly women's road ride in Austin on Wednesday evenings — hills including Mt. Bonnell with regroups throughout, finishing with wine at The Meteor cafe. All levels welcome.
The vibe
Hills, regroup, wine — repeat
Wednesday evenings, Breakfast Club ATX runs a women’s ride that takes the hills seriously but doesn’t drop anyone on them. Mount Bonnell is the kind of Austin climb that reveals your current fitness with no ambiguity — but the Babes Ride regroups throughout, which means you’re not watching the group disappear while you work through it. About 30-40 women show up on a typical week, spanning genuinely all skill levels.
The post-ride at The Meteor is the other half of the appeal. Cyclists who’ve just climbed Austin’s hills tend to be excellent company, and winding down with wine in a group of people who just rode together gives the evening a social arc that extends well past the ride itself.
This is one of the better women’s cycling entry points in Austin — the size of the group means there are always people moving at your pace, and the welcoming culture is genuine rather than performative. Organized by Breakfast Club ATX; check breakfastclubatx.com for the current schedule and any venue updates.
