Austin Gravel Collective
Austin's gravel cycling community centering BIPOC, queer, trans, and para-athlete riders — group rides, workshops, and socials on gravel routes citywide.
The vibe
Gravel community, historically excluded riders centered
Austin Gravel Collective built its mission around a simple idea: gravel riding should feel welcoming to everyone, including the riders who’ve historically been left out of it. That means group rides, skills workshops, and socials built around and for FTWNB (femme, trans, women, non-binary), BIPOC, queer, and para-athlete cyclists.
Rides explore gravel routes in and around Austin, with the format shifting depending on the event — sometimes a straightforward group ride, sometimes a workshop focused on building skills or confidence before a bigger route. The through-line is a safe, uplifting environment rather than a fixed weekly time slot.
Check the collective’s Instagram or Strava club for the current ride calendar — announcements go out there rather than on a standing schedule, so it’s worth following if you want to catch the next one.
