The vibe

Pedaling through Latino Austin history

Modeled on Austin’s Black History Bike Ride, this one covers about 7 miles and 15 stops tracing the city’s Latino history — the landmarks, the neighborhoods, the stories that don’t always make it into the standard tour. It kicks off from A.B. Cantu/Pan American Recreation Center and has, in past years, wrapped at the ESB-MACC’s Viva México Quinceañera celebration.

The ride lands every year right at the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month, and the pace is built for a mixed group — this is about the stops and the history, not the mileage.

Watch local event calendars and the city’s Hispanic Heritage Month programming for the exact date and start time each year.
