BCC Saturday Morning Rides
Boulder Cycling Club's weekend road ride builds fitness from March through summer. Rolls from Sanitas Brewery at 9:30 AM with increasing distance and climbing.
The vibe
Build fitness, earn tacos
Saturday mornings at Sanitas Brewing are where Boulder Cycling Club riders put in real miles. This is the week’s main training ride — structured to build over the course of the season, with distance and climbing ramping up from March through summer so riders arrive at events actually prepared. Early season starts at 9:30 AM from Sanitas; as days get longer and temperatures climb, the wheels roll earlier to beat the heat.
The routes lean into everything that makes Boulder riding memorable — the roads out toward Lyons, loops through the foothills, climbs that sort the groups naturally. Pace groupings follow the standard BCC structure (A/B/C), so whether you’re holding 18+ mph in a pace line or building your base miles at something more sustainable, there’s a group moving at your speed. Target return is around noon, which makes it a proper half-day effort.
The post-ride reward is tacos from McDevitt Taco Supply on the Sanitas patio. It’s the kind of Saturday morning routine that makes the rest of the weekend feel earned — coffee while the legs recover, tacos while the ride gets retold, and plenty of time left in the day.
