BCC Thursday Night Gravel Rides
Boulder Cycling Club's weekly Thursday gravel ride rolls from Upslope Brewery at 5:30 PM. Post-ride patio, burgers, and a $1 beer discount included.
The vibe
Dirt roads, cold beer, repeat
Thursday evenings belong to gravel at Boulder Cycling Club. The group meets at Upslope Brewing on South Flatiron Court and rolls out at 5:30, heading into the mix of dirt roads and rolling terrain that makes Boulder such fertile ground for gravel riding. Routes vary throughout the season, pulling from the network of unpaved roads fanning out toward the foothills.
The pace is spirited but the vibe is social — this is a midweek escape, not a race. Expect a mix of road bikes with wider tires and dedicated gravel rigs, and riders who know the local terrain well. If you’re new to gravel or new to Boulder’s road network, this is a solid introduction to both.
Upslope Brewing is the reward at the end. BCC members get a dollar off patio drinks, and The Mighty Burger rolls up to feed the post-ride crowd. It’s a Thursday evening formula that’s hard to improve on: good roads, good company, and cold beer waiting at the finish.
