By mid-November, Bridge City CX is racing in conditions most of the country has already packed away the bike for — which is exactly the point. Portland’s cyclocross scene treats late fall mud as a feature, not a bug, and this race is where that attitude shows up most.
Held in the city itself rather than out at a raceway or farm, it’s an easy one to catch if you want to spectate without much of a drive. Expect a loyal, weather-hardened crowd.
