Cascade Iron Horse Gravel Ride
Two-day Seattle-area gravel tour on the Iron Horse Trail from Snoqualmie into the Cascades — rail-trail gravel, no cars, big scenery.
The vibe
Rail-trail gravel into the Cascades
Now in its second year, Cascade Bicycle Club’s Iron Horse Gravel Ride follows the old Milwaukee Road rail corridor — the Palouse to Cascades Trail — out of Snoqualmie and into the mountains over two days. No cars, no traffic lights, just wide, well-graded gravel and a straight shot into big Cascades scenery.
The event is capped at 200 riders thanks to permit limits, so it stays small and social rather than sprawling. It’s a good fit for gravel riders who want multi-day mileage without the logistics of a self-supported tour — Cascade handles the route and permits, you just show up and pedal.
Registration typically opens in the spring and closes mid-summer or when the field fills, whichever comes first. Exact pricing and full mileage details are worth double-checking on the event page closer to the date.
