The vibe
Train hard, ride far
The Cascade Training Series is a twelve-week structured program built around one goal: getting you ready for endurance events like Seattle to Portland. Cascade is the largest cycling club in the country and they know how to build a rider up — progressive distances, increasing elevation, and group riding skills developed week by week across the spring season.
Four pace groups cover the spectrum from leisurely 10-12 mph to brisk 16-18 mph, so riders at very different fitness levels can all benefit from the same program. Weekly Saturdays start from rotating regional trailheads (Eastside, Renton, Kent, Woodinville, Lynnwood), giving participants geographic variety as the miles stack up. The series includes a Fix-a-Flat class, virtual seminars on nutrition and hydration, and cross-training guidance — the full package for someone who wants to show up to STP actually ready.
Cost is $185 for Cascade members and $225 for non-members. Youth 16 and older can participate with a guardian and prior group ride experience.
