CCC Breakfast Club Rides
Monthly Chicago Cycling Club rides to neighborhood breakfast spots. 15–30 miles at casual pace, always back by noon. A friendly intro to Chicago cycling culture.
The vibe
Ride easy, eat well
The Breakfast Club is Chicago Cycling Club’s most approachable ride series — no hammering, no drop, no pressure. Each month, a small group sets out at 10-14 mph for a different Chicago neighborhood restaurant, covering 15-30 miles round trip and returning by noon. The destination is always somewhere worth visiting for the food, which means you’re also getting a city tour as a side effect.
Past rides have landed in Evanston, the South Loop, Logan Square, Wicker Park, Hyde Park, and other neighborhoods that earn their reputation. The route changes every month, led consistently by Sharon Kaminecki, who keeps the vibe conversational and the pace honest. CCC members earn punch-card rewards after four rides in a season, which is a good reason to make it a habit.
If you’re new to cycling clubs or just want the social part without the intensity, this is the right entry point. Membership required.
