606 Celebration Station
Bike Month pop-up on Chicago's 606 Trail at Damen Ave — free refreshments, community vibes, and celebrating cycling culture on the city's favorite elevated trail.
The vibe
Trail party, everyone welcome
The 606 Trail is Chicago’s answer to New York’s High Line — an elevated greenway threading through Logan Square, Humboldt Park, and Bucktown that’s become one of the city’s signature cycling and walking spaces. The Active Transportation Alliance’s Celebration Station pop-up parks itself at the Damen Avenue access point during Bike Month for a free afternoon of refreshments and community connection on one of Chicago’s most beloved infrastructure projects.
It’s a drop-in format: ride by on your way somewhere, stop for twenty minutes, grab a free drink and talk to people who share your appreciation for the trail. The 606’s elevation means you arrive with a natural sense of arrival, looking out over the city’s rooftops in every direction.
Free to attend. Rain date is May 28 if weather doesn’t cooperate. Part of Chicago Bike Month’s citywide programming from the Active Transportation Alliance.
