The vibe

Laid-back miles with friends

DBTC’s weekday Fun rides are exactly what the name suggests — low-key group rides covering 20–30 miles across Denver’s trail network with frequent regroup stops and no one getting dropped. The pace runs 10–14 mph, the terrain ranges from flat bike paths to moderate rolling roads, and the company is reliably good. Rides run multiple days a week, departing from trailheads across the metro.

The difficulty is rated on the club’s H1–H3 scale (H1 being flat, H3 having real climbing), so you can pick your day based on what your legs want to do. Many rides end with a restaurant or coffee stop, which has been a DBTC tradition since the club’s founding in the 1950s. It’s a Denver cycling institution that’s been welcoming riders of all levels for decades.

Check the DBTC website and calendar for current ride listings, as meetup locations rotate across the metro. Some rides with limited capacity require text registration — the listing will note this. Road bikes and hybrids are both welcome depending on the route.
