DBTC MTB & ATB Rides
Denver Bicycle Touring Club's mountain and all-terrain rides tackle singletrack around Denver's Front Range, rated by terrain and physical difficulty level.
The vibe
Dirt under your tires
DBTC doesn’t just do pavement. Their ATB (All-Terrain Bike) and MTB rides venture onto unpaved surfaces at Front Range trailheads, with routes rated by both terrain difficulty (T1 for smooth singletrack, T2 for technical) and physical demand (P1 for moderate, P2 for harder). Rides typically cover 4–14 miles of actual trail, which means the mileage is smaller than road rides but the effort and fun factor are comparable.
Past locations include South Table Mountain and Pronghorn Park in Highlands Ranch — terrain that’s accessible to intermediate riders without being boring for more experienced ones. The format stays consistent with other DBTC rides: the group rides together, the pace is social, and no one is left behind to navigate alone.
Rides run on Wednesdays, year-round depending on conditions. Check the DBTC calendar for current trailhead locations and signup requirements — some mountain rides cap at a specific number of riders.
