DBTC Rocky Mountain Arsenal Nature Ride
Guided group ride from Cake Crumbs bakery along Sand Creek Trail toward the Rocky Mountain Arsenal Wildlife Refuge — flat, scenic, capped at 10 riders.
The vibe
Bison views, small crew
This is a small-group ride in the best sense — capped at 10 riders, departing from a bakery, heading toward one of Denver’s most surprising natural spaces. The route follows Sand Creek Trail from Cake Crumbs in the Hale neighborhood out toward the Northfield area and the boundary of Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, where bison roam in sight of the Denver skyline.
At 24–30 miles on flat terrain (H1 rating), it’s accessible to riders of most fitness levels. The intimacy of a 10-person limit makes this a different experience from DBTC’s larger rides — it’s more of a guided outing than a group hammer, and the trailside wildlife viewing is a genuine draw.
Monthly on Sundays, departing from Cake Crumbs at 2216 Kearney Street. The small size means spots fill quickly — check the DBTC calendar early and note any registration requirements.
