Emerald City Ride
Cascade Bicycle Club's spring season opener — a 20-mile Seattle road ride with 965 ft of climbing to shake the cobwebs off and welcome the new season.
The vibe
Spring opener through the city
Every cycling season in Seattle has a beginning, and for a lot of riders it’s the Emerald City Ride. Cascade Bicycle Club’s spring event covers 20 miles with 965 feet of climbing — short enough to feel like a warm-up, long enough to remind your legs what riding season means. It’s April 25, 2026, starting at 7 AM.
The ride serves as the unofficial kick-off to Cascade’s organized event season. You’ll see a mix of regulars who’ve been doing this for years and newcomers trying their first Cascade event. At 20 miles, it’s genuinely accessible: if you’ve been keeping up with any indoor training over the winter, you’ll be fine.
Registration is open through Cascade’s website. Full SAG support, marked routes, and the general satisfaction of being outside on a bike in the Pacific Northwest in spring — which is everything you want it to be when the weather cooperates.
