FoCo Fondo brings gravel racing to Fort Collins with a route system built around a “dare” — pick the harder line and rack up 118 miles, or take the standard 100-mile route. There’s also a flatter alternative for riders who want the distance without the climbing total, which makes this one of the more approachable big-mileage gravel days in northern Colorado.
The terrain mixes farm roads and rolling foothills, a different flavor of gravel than the high-mountain races further west — less altitude, more sustained effort over a long day in the saddle.
Fort Collins has one of the state’s best beer scenes for a reason, and a fondo finish line here means you’re never more than a few blocks from a well-earned pint.
