Front Range Mountain Bikers
No-drop MTB rides for beginner to intermediate riders across Front Range trails. Weekday afterwork rides and weekend adventures in Denver's mountain backyard.
The vibe
Good dirt, good people
If you’ve been wanting to get on the trails but aren’t sure you’re ready for the “real” mountain bikers, Front Range Mountain Bikers is your crew. This group leans beginner-to-intermediate, runs a strict no-drop policy, and genuinely means it — nobody gets left behind on the singletrack. Weekday afterwork rides head into Jefferson, Boulder, Clear Creek, and Douglas Counties; weekends push further to Buffalo Creek, Kenosha Pass, and Staunton State Park.
Rides are coded by level so you know what you’re signing up for. Green rides are genuinely mellow; blue rides have some bite. The social glue here is the vibe — riders describe the group as “laid back” in the way that actually holds up when you’re grinding up a climb and wondering why you thought this was a good idea on a Tuesday evening.
For first-timers, show up to a green or introductory ride, introduce yourself, and don’t worry about having the latest gear. This group also runs occasional multi-day trips to destinations in and out of state for the regulars who want more miles and more mountain.
