Jay Kapp’s Gay Gravel Group rolled out its first ride from Cycle Town Coffee Roasters — a new queer-led addition to Portland’s already-deep gravel scene. The inaugural route covers 15-plus miles with about 1,000 feet of climbing, “dirty roads, groovy company” as the tagline puts it.
Expect a welcoming, LGBTQ+-centered space on a discipline that’s traditionally skewed toward roadie and gravel-bro crowds — this one’s built to be an alternative, not a copy.
