Golden Bike Cruise takes the cruiser ride concept and wraps it in the charm of one of Colorado’s most beloved small towns. On the last Tuesday of every month from May through September, riders gather in downtown Golden for a themed evening cruise through streets lined with breweries, shops, and mountain views. It’s everything great about a cruiser ride, scaled down to a size where you’ll actually get to know the people around you.

Each month brings a new theme, and Golden’s tight-knit cycling community goes all in on costumes and decorations. The route winds through town at a pace that lets you take in the scenery — Clear Creek, the Coors brewery, Table Mountain in the background — without breaking a sweat. After the ride, most folks end up at one of Golden’s many breweries or restaurants, turning the evening into a proper social outing.

If you’re coming from Denver, the drive to Golden is worth it for the change of scenery alone.
