Kankakee Krono 2026
Illinois State Time Trial Championship in Aroma Park — a solo race against the clock on flat Kankakee River roads for all categories.
The vibe
Solo, silent, all-out effort
The Kankakee Krono is back for its second year as the official Illinois State Time Trial Championship. Held in Aroma Park along the flat, open roads near the Kankakee River, it’s a pure race against the clock — no drafting, no tactics, just watts and willpower. The course suits riders who’ve put in the base miles and aren’t afraid of a little wind exposure.
The state TT title is open to all categories including juniors and masters, making this one of the more accessible state championship opportunities on the calendar. Last year’s inaugural edition set the bar for a well-organized, rider-focused event.
Aroma Park is about 60 miles south of Chicago — a straight shot down I-57, with parking available near the start/finish. Check the XXX Racing site for registration windows, course details, and start time draws as the event approaches.
