Kenton Community Ride
Casual family-friendly Saturday morning ride through North and inner NE Portland neighborhoods. Easy pace, ~2 hours, all welcome from Kenton Park.
The vibe
Neighborhood vibes, no rush
North Portland on a Saturday morning, no agenda, easy pace. The Kenton Community Ride departs from Kenton Park every Saturday at 10 AM for a two-hour exploration of North and inner Northeast Portland neighborhoods. It’s the kind of ride where you actually look at the streets you’re riding through rather than just staring at someone’s rear wheel.
There’s nothing competitive about this. The group moves together, stops at intersections, and takes routes that show off Portland’s neighborhood character rather than its commuter efficiency. It’s organized by a local resident and runs through Shift’s community calendar, which means the vibe is friendly and self-organizing rather than club-formal.
If you’re new to Portland or just want to see parts of the city you haven’t explored, this is an excellent way to do it on a bike. Show up at 9:30 AM for the pre-ride meetup, ride starts at 10 AM sharp. All bikes and abilities welcome.
