Levi's GranFondo — Piccolo
38-mile beginner-friendly cruise through Sonoma wine country. One aid station, rolling hills, and full Levi's GranFondo atmosphere in Windsor, CA.
The vibe
Wine country warm-up ride
The Piccolo is Levi’s GranFondo’s welcome mat — 38 miles of Sonoma wine country roads that let new riders experience the event’s character without committing to the full distance. You’ll ride past vineyards, through small Sonoma towns, and on the same roads as the longer routes, hitting one aid station at mile 20 before rolling into the finish. The climbing is real but never steep enough to be discouraging.
For riders stepping up to their first organized gran fondo, the Piccolo is a smart entry point. You get the full GranFondo infrastructure — marked course, SAG support, timed segments — without the 100+ miles that define the main event. Many riders use the Piccolo as a stepping stone, moving up to longer distances the following season once they know what they’re dealing with.
The event is based out of Windsor, which puts you in the heart of Alexander Valley wine country territory. Post-ride, the Sonoma region has dozens of worthy tasting rooms within easy reach of the finish. Register early — Levi’s GranFondo sells out across all distance categories, and the Piccolo is no exception.
