Lake Oswego doesn’t always get the same spotlight as the Portland core, but the LO First Sunday Ride has quietly built its own little following. Once a month, riders gather at Millennium Plaza Park for a ride with a theme that changes every time — sometimes silly, sometimes seasonal, always an excuse to get a group out on a Sunday evening.
The pace is casual and the route winds through Lake Oswego’s parks and neighborhoods, so it’s an easy on-ramp if you’re newer to group rides or just want something less intense than a weeknight training ride. Show up not knowing exactly what the theme will be — that’s part of the fun.
Bring a light if the ride runs past sunset, and check the Shift calendar ahead of time for that month’s theme.
