The vibe

Dawn hammerfest before work

The PHP Morning Ride is a Denver institution for cyclists who want their suffering served early. Two mornings a week, a tight group assembles at S. Holly Street and the Cherry Creek Bike Path while most of the city is still asleep. A Group goes full race pace. B Group holds a moderate but purposeful tempo. Either way, you’re back in the saddle before your coworkers have finished their first cup of coffee.

At 45-60 minutes, the ride is short by endurance standards but long by pre-work ambition. Routes follow the Cherry Creek corridor and surrounding roads — fast, familiar ground that lets riders focus on the effort rather than navigation. The Park Hill Peloton Strava Club keeps the community connected between rides, with Strava route links shared each week for those who want to study the terrain.

This is not a social coffee spin. The PHP Morning Ride is for people who treat Tuesday mornings like race day. If that’s your kind of Tuesday, show up at Holly Street at 5:55 AM and find your group.
