King Farmer's Market Ride
Bike bus-style Saturday ride to the King Farmers Market in NE Portland. 0–3 miles from Wilshire Park — a quick, community-first cruise to support local food.
The vibe
Pedal to the people's market
Every Saturday morning, a small but consistent group rolls from Wilshire Park to the King Farmers Market a few blocks away, arriving just as the market hits its stride. Organized by Team Apuggalypse through Shift, this isn’t a long haul — the route is 0–3 miles, which is kind of the point. The goal is getting people there by bike, building the habit of errand-by-bike, and making the market feel more like a neighborhood gathering and less like a parking lot ordeal.
The ride is all-ages and all-abilities. Kids on balance bikes, cargo rigs loaded with reusable bags, gravel bikes slumming it — all welcome. Riders gather at 10:15 AM and roll at 10:30 AM, arriving at the market with enough time to browse before the crowds thicken. You’re on your own to shop, grab a coffee, or linger as long as you want.
This is a Shift-affiliated community ride, which means it runs on volunteer energy and good faith. Check the Shift calendar (shift2bikes.org) to confirm it’s happening on any given Saturday.
