Overlook Neighborhood Bike Ride
Monthly coffee ride from Stacks Coffeehouse in North Portland — casual conversation over coffee, then a neighborhood loop that returns to the cafe. Second Sunday monthly.
The vibe
Coffee first, pedal after
The Overlook Neighborhood Bike Ride does things in the right order: coffee first, then cycling. The group gathers at Stacks Coffeehouse on N Killingsworth for some actual conversation before anyone clips in, which makes it less of a workout and more of a rolling neighborhood hang. The ride itself loops through North Portland — nothing technical, nothing rushed — and comes back to the cafe, so you can grab a second cup if the mood strikes.
Organized by the Overlook Neighborhood Association, this is as local as a bike ride gets. The crowd tends to be neighbors, regulars, and people who found out about it through the association rather than a cycling app. It runs monthly on the second Sunday, making it easy to build into a routine. If you live in North Portland and haven’t found your people on two wheels yet, this is a good place to start.
