The vibe
Women on wheels, all levels
ARR’s Ride Like A Girl program runs May through September and brings women-focused mountain biking to Austin’s trail network twice a week. Monday evening rides at 6 PM are weekday-accessible; weekend morning rides at 9 AM give more time for longer routes. The trailhead rotates — Walnut Creek, Maxwell, Brushy Creek, Emma Long, Circle C, Georgetown, and Muleshoe Bend all appear in the schedule — so there’s genuine variety across the season.
All skill levels are welcome. The program is designed to create a comfortable environment for women to ride together without the pressure of keeping up with mixed-gender groups where the pace can drift toward the most aggressive riders. First-timers and experienced riders both show up, and the group accommodates that range.
Free with RSVP through the ARR website. The program fills up, so register ahead rather than just showing up. Check the Ride Like A Girl page for current week routing and any schedule adjustments.
