RideAway PDX
First and last Sunday waterfront loop through Portland, May through September. Easy 10 miles with a post-ride beer discount at AwayDays on SE Cora.
The vibe
Easy miles, cold beer waiting at the end
Twice a month from May through September, RideAway PDX does exactly what it says: ride away, do a loop, come back for a beer. The 10-mile waterfront route rolls through some of Portland’s best cycling infrastructure — flat, well-marked, and genuinely enjoyable — before looping back to AwayDays on SE Cora where riders get 10% off their post-ride drinks.
It’s the kind of ride that works for everyone: experienced cyclists who want an easy social spin, newcomers who need a structured intro to Portland’s waterfront, and anyone who just wants a reason to get out of the house on a Sunday afternoon. The pace is relaxed and the route is chosen to be accessible rather than challenging.
AwayDays hosts the start and finish, which gives the ride a home base with actual amenities. No registration, no fee, just show up and ride. The schedule runs on the first and last Sunday of each month through the summer — follow @rideawaypdx for exact dates and any weather updates.
