The vibe

Team-designed 200km adventure

The Dart is randonneuring with a twist: your team designs the route. Groups of 3-5 riders create their own 200km course along the Front Range and ride it within 13.5 hours, all checking in at the same start and finish location. It’s a format that rewards local knowledge, creative routing, and the ability to work together across a long day.

The Front Range offers enough variety to make route design genuinely interesting — you could go straight north to Fort Collins and back, push west into the mountains, head south toward Pikes Peak, or some combination. The constraint is 200km and the time limit; everything else is up to your team. Teams that’ve done the club’s other brevets often find the Dart a rewarding way to close out the season with something more personally meaningful than a prescribed route.

Free to enter in 2026. RMCC and RUSA membership required. Route plans need to be submitted in advance — check rmccrides.com for Dart-specific rules, submission deadlines, and required checkpoint criteria. All riders must carry navigation and appropriate safety equipment.
