San Jose Bike Party runs on a simple formula: pick a theme, publish a route, show up on a bike. Recent editions have included a No Pants Ride, an Aliens Among Us ride, and a Hot Dog vs. Hamburger Ride — the kind of playful concepts that draw a big, costume-friendly crowd rather than a fast group.
Routes rotate through San José landmarks — Tamien Station, City Hall, Cahill Park — and get posted on RideWithGPS ahead of time, so you can preview the miles before committing. Rides typically run from around 7 to 10:30 PM, which keeps things social rather than sweaty.
