It launches at 9:00 AM from McLelland and Market, led by the Sunday Funday Windsor Ride group, and wraps up before 10:30 AM. That leaves the whole afternoon to watch the GranFondo festival unfold, catch the awards ceremony, and soak in the energy of one of the best cycling events in the country.
It’s the right call if you want to experience the day without the registration cost or the training commitment of the longer routes. The Windsor Town Green area transforms into a full cycling festival for the weekend — vendors, live music, race coverage on the jumbotron — and rolling through it with a crowd of families and kids captures something a solo training ride never quite matches.
