The vibe
Wednesday watts, no coasting allowed
MEETS exists for one reason: to make you faster before STP or RSVP. The Midweek Eastside Evening Training Series is a structured Wednesday hammer session out of Redmond — 27 miles, ~1,400 ft of elevation, Strenuous pace (18+ mph). It’s not a social ride. There’s no pie stop. If you’re in the middle of a STP training block and need a midweek push, this is where you go.
The Redmond start works well for Eastside cyclists who don’t want to schlep across the lake. Departing at 5:55 PM keeps it accessible after work, though you’ll need to be efficient about transitions — this group doesn’t wait at the start line. Expect to be riding hard for the bulk of the 27 miles.
MEETS is open to active Cascade Bicycle Club members only, and advance registration is required. If you’re not a member yet but train toward STP annually, the membership pays for itself fast — MEETS alone is worth it for the structured midweek miles.
