The vibe
Easy Thursday evening roll
The Post Doc Slow Roll runs Thursday evenings from two eastside starting points — Kenmore for a 22.5-mile loop and Lake Sammamish/Redmond for a 23-mile option. Both run 6:00-8:00 PM, making them viable after-work rides for people on the eastside who can’t make the earlier weekday rides work. The pace is steady and approachable, adjusted for cyclists of varying fitness levels.
“Post Doc” in the name suggests the academic vibe of the eastside — the ride attracts a mix of professionals, commuters, and recreational cyclists who want a structured evening outing without it being a competitive event. The Sammamish route in particular uses some of the better eastside cycling infrastructure around Lake Sammamish State Park.
