The vibe

Eclectic Eastside Tuesday ramble

The Snoqualmie Valley on a Tuesday morning is a different world from the weekend crowds — quieter roads, actual views, and the kind of midweek calm that makes you feel like you’ve cracked the code on work-life balance. TREATS (Tuesday Ride Eclectic Athletic Travelers) is a 43-mile loop from Redmond that weaves through the Eastside’s trails and valley roads at a Steady pace. Around 1,800 ft of climbing means the legs will know they went somewhere, but the Steady group doesn’t push the pace.

The “eclectic” in the acronym is accurate. Weekday Cascade rides tend to attract a mix of retirees, remote workers, and people who figured out how to structure their week around a Tuesday morning ride. The atmosphere is relaxed and conversational — you’ll probably learn something about the local cycling scene just from whoever you end up next to.
