DSSF Jersey Ride — Monthly Club Outing
Different Spokes SF's flagship monthly social ride to Tiburon with two pace options and a group lunch. The LGBTQ+ cycling club's marquee Saturday outing.
The vibe
Monthly ferry-side lunch ride
The second Saturday of every month, Different Spokes SF runs its marquee club outing: the Jersey Ride to Tiburon. Two pace groups cover the route across the Golden Gate and through Marin to the waterfront in Tiburon, where the group gathers for a sit-down lunch together. It’s a full morning and a proper outing — miles, climbing, a ferry-side table, and the kind of relaxed post-ride meal that turns a bike ride into an event.
The two-pace structure means you don’t have to be the fastest rider in the club to participate fully. Both groups end up at the same lunch spot, which is the whole point. The Jersey Ride has been a DSSF institution for long enough that it has its own rhythm and its own regulars, and first-timers tend to get absorbed quickly.
Check dssf.org for the current month’s start location and any details about the lunch spot. Non-members are welcome to join up to three DSSF rides total before becoming members, so this is a good one to use one of those visits on.
