Friday at 6:15 AM means most of San Francisco is still horizontal. This small group of SFCC regulars is already clipped in at Fell and Baker, ready to spin through the city before the traffic wakes up. The pace is genuinely all-inclusive — no one is getting dropped — and the route meanders through some of the city’s better cycling corridors before landing at The Mill on Divisadero for coffee and conversation.
This is the SF Cycling Club’s only fully open ride, which makes it the easiest way to get a foot in the door. Show up, introduce yourself, and you’ll leave with a sense of who’s riding what this weekend. Regulars range from commuters to club racers, but nobody is testing legs on Friday morning. It’s a coffee ride, not a beatdown.
First-timers: the 6:15 AM start is not negotiable. The group rolls on time. Bring money for coffee — The Mill is worth it.
