Summer Vibes Rally is Lyons’ second gravel event of the year, and it couldn’t feel more different from the frozen-roads grind of the Old Man Winter Rally back in February. This one leans into its name — a lighter, festival-style event with 71 and 32-mile options that work well as a tune-up ride rather than an all-out effort.
The terrain is friendlier than a lot of Front Range gravel, which makes it a good pick for riders easing into bigger events later in the summer, or for anyone who wants a solid gravel day without needing a taper week beforehand.
Lyons has built a real reputation as a gravel hub over the past few years, and race day usually spills into the town’s outdoor patios and breweries once the last riders roll in.
