The Bagel Ride
Austin's original Saturday road ride since 1992. 50-60 miles in double paceline at 16-21 mph behind Little Woodrow's Tech Ridge. No frills, just fast miles.
The vibe
Old-school fast miles since 1992
The Bagel Ride has been rolling out of Austin since 1992 — predating Meetup, predating Strava, predating most of the ways people find rides today. Every Saturday at 8:30 AM behind Little Woodrow’s Tech Ridge, the group assembles and heads out for 50-60 miles in a double paceline. Average speed runs 16-21 mph depending on the group that day.
There’s nothing fancy about it. No app, no theme, no post-ride party — just a well-worn route and people who have been showing up for years because they want a real road ride with people who know how to ride in a group. The pace is honest: social at times, race pace at others, but it won’t stop and wait for you to reattach if you get dropped.
Check the Facebook group for this week’s route details. If you’re fit enough to hold a paceline for 50+ miles, this is the Austin road ride with actual history behind it.
