The vibe
Wheat fields, wineries, and wheels
Walla Walla produces some of Washington’s best wine and some of its most scenic cycling. The Cascade Bicycle Club’s three-day tour through the region covers 113–149 miles across rolling terrain that alternates between wheat fields, wine country, and farmland that cyclists rarely get to explore at road speed. Daily rides start from different wineries or breweries, which means the logistics actually get better as the weekend progresses.
Capacity is capped at 200 riders, which keeps it intimate enough to feel like a real tour rather than a mass event. Long and short route options each day let riders calibrate their effort, and SAG vehicle support is available if conditions change. Lunch is provided daily.
Walla Walla sits in the far southeast corner of Washington, far enough from Seattle that most participants make a weekend of it. Worth the drive. Registration through Cascade’s website.
